YMCA Youth Connections is able to provide the following Safety Courses free of charge in-house to your potential employees provided it is required for employment:

Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
OSSA Regional Orientation

In addition, YMCA Youth Connections can provide funding for any other required training a potential employee would require for employment with your company. Examples of such training include:

H2S Alive
First Aid/CPR
Food Handling Safety
Fall Protection Training
TDG
Computer courses augmenting basic skills
Driver Training from Class 3 to Class 1

For these external exposure courses to be funded by YMCA Youth Connections, clients require a letter from a potential employer guaranteeing employment upon completion of this training.

YMCA Youth Connections has developed a comprehensive Customer Service Skills workshop to help address the problem of customer service in Fort McMurray. Clients will learn in a fun and interactive environment the importance of appropriate communication, behavior, and professionalism in their conduct with both external and internal customers. Youth Connections has a large and highly popular Job Board prominently displayed in their resource centre that holds over 100 job availabilities every day. Youth Connections offers free job postings for employers in the region for any positions they are looking to fill.
